The film Out Standing is nominated for Achievement in Visual Effects at the Canadian Screen Awards 2026.
This dramatic film by Mélanie Charbonneau tells the real story of Captain Sandra Perron, Canada's first woman infantry officer in 1995. I worked 3 months on this project as VFX artist in Houdini and compositing, with the AA Studios team in Montreal. I created and rendered ground explosions, smoke plumes, missile trails, tank shots, animated plane propeller and blood pool, fire sparks, fog, and a tear sliding down a face.
